Okay, I know more than a couple of you have this same scenario going on in your home, except, I left the AI junk at the last house we sold… but….

I got 2 robot vacumms chasing the pups around the house… I have a dishwasher that whistles a tune I have learned to loathe…

Then you got my refrigerator and if it feels the temperature drop, it starts off with a ping and then that ping gets real demanding… and that’s not counting the water filter or the air filter inside the stupid thing…

Then my fancy glass top stove… It took me hitting the circuit breaker when we first moved in, because I couldn’t figure out how to turn the damn timer or oven off… (First few nights in this house was poltergist appliances!!!)

Oh and when I have the oven open too long, it starts off with a sound and that sound gets louder and more demanding… I am forever telling the bitch to shut up, but no, gotta push buttons…

Then the island microwave, is at childs level, so the damn thing has to be operated in such a way, that if you don’t know hitting stop and pushing the button to open it don’t work without the special code!!!!! What ever is in that microwave will stay there unless you hit the circuit breaker… That took me digging the book out a week later…

Now those appliances came with the house when I bought it… but not knowing these goof ball machines could talk to me… I add 2 robot vacumms just out of pure curiousity and those damn things talk to me or get lost or get stuck and I get dozens of freaked out messages of “SAVE ME”!!!!!

Not knowing everything going in my home was smart, I go and buy smart washer and dryer!!! The tune when cycle ends is enough to grate chalk on a chalk board and be more enjoyable…

Then to top it all off, we buy smart TV’s and install them in the rooms and those SOB’s demand I do this and I do that…!!! Guess what, I went antenna and cut the internet off to the TV… only the firestick has access… NEANER NEANER smart TV manufacturer’s!!!

Cherry on the cake… Homer is told he has dementia and his truck, a 3500 Laredo with a cummins engine that is more expensive than any car I ever owned and come to find out as the driver now… ???

That damn thing talks to me too!!!! I can’t win!!!!

Then stupid me, I figure, dementia, get used to wearing a tracking device because of Homer’s illness so I order us smart watches!!!

So we have gone from the Flintstone’s to the frigging Jetson’s!!!!!

Yea, I am laughing… Dick Tracy and the Jetsons are cartoons I used to watch as a kid and now as a senior citizen… I am frigging living it…

I never linked any appliances to any software, so no I haven’t killed the music it plays yet… but you got to admit, if you were born in the 50’s…. Do you think you would be living with this tech???

I know AI will enter my home at some point, because of dementia causing wandering and other issues and having a camera monitoring a patient will be a lot more condusive to sleep, when we are still on our own…

Help won’t come under insurance until the last 6 months… I want help now, I need $20,000 sitting in the bank and rich, this disabled veteran has never been….

Have a wonderful day… Mine started at 1AM and I have been on coffee since 3AM… and I got to go save a robot…🤷🏼‍♀️🙊🙉🙈
