Final Piece to the Puzzle… corrected dates edited…

Managing the long-term effects of a pediatric central spinal cord injury requires a highly tailored approach, especially when dealing with asymmetric upper limb weakness and severe muscle knotting. The “knotting” you describe in the shoulder muscles is very frequently a combination of neurogenic spasticity (involuntary, sustained muscle contractions caused by disrupted spinal signals) and secondary myofascial trigger points (painful knots that form when weakened muscles are chronically overworked to compensate for the injury). [1, 2, 3]

The above statement is from the web, but it is a reliable medical source…

I ended up in the ER at Spokane VA, before I got my SS in 2001… So I only had VA health care and ER visits, meant a 3 hour drive one way… Homer doesn’t remember the trip, but it was between 96 and 2001…

We get to the ER and the nurses working the ER freak out and go and get a doctor…

On my left shoulder area between the lateral left side and the central area of the spine was a huge knot… and that knot, was my muscle and nothing and I mean nothing I did, got it to relax… So ER was hit…

Well they tried one shot right into that knot and nothing happened, in fact it got worse, so they freak out more and try another…

That’s all I remember… I know I didn’t go to the ER ever again for the problem, instead, I treated it myself, like I am doing right now…

When Freda hurt my spinal cord at 1 year old… That set off a cascade of physical issues and the first time it reared it’s ugly head, was basic training and I wrote about this, but here’s what happened in 1977…

We are finishiing up Basic and we have to run the obstacle course and we competed against the men and of course we beat them…

As I was running up to the rope to jump over the water, I went with my left arm and it didn’t want to cooperate and I switched to my right hand, which did hold me and kept me dry… (I never forgot that at basic, I was young and healthy, why the weakness???)

The last puzzle piece has been the weakness on my left side and it’s related to the spinal cord injury I received at a year old and still went on to serve in the military and raise two boys and have a productive life…

All because I didn’t let my injuries slow me down or stop me…

No one ever told me why I have weakness or why I have this or that… No it took me evaluating in my brain, (I have yet to pull medical records and look, I have been going on memory, why?? Because the neuro didn’t think my edeitic memory still works… I am proving him so very wrong!!!)

Anyway, got up this morning and got to thinking about Physical therapy in 2020 and what those kids taught me and now, it all finally makes sense, why they had me do low impact aerobics and mild stretching and other exercises that don’t tax those areas affected by Freda’s beating me at a year old…

That knot is trying to appear again, and that means the strap exercises doing the push ups was to much and I have to accept I can’t do certain exercises the way I want, because of the damage done to my central nervous system and my spinal cord…

I asked Homer if he remembered that trip to Spokane and like many other memories that are near 30 years or older, recall isn’t coming easy… The disease is on the move…

That’s it… The last puzzle piece to my injuries and somehow, I still served in the military… Man do they owe me a few million… I should have met a medical board, but covering up the rape and attempted murder of my kids on Vance AFB was more important and yet, I still came out smelling like a proverbial rose…

Have a wonderful day… Mine just got perfect with this last puzzle piece… I have no more questions about my body and the injuries it carries… no doctor’s answered my questions…

I figured it out… They did the tests, but never connected the dots… Yet somehow Walter Reed is keeping the organge turd from hell alive, WHY???????

I remember…

About Me

I am Maggi, given that name on Okinawa during the Vietnam war by a group of Marines in transit at Naha AFB… At 17 years old I didn’t know I was missing memory… I had lost the first 17 years of life and was about to embark on a journey of intrigue, murder, rape, military coverup and live a life, most only dream about… Will I ever remember my youth or will I always walk in shadow not knowing who I was…

This is my story of survival…
