I don’t read about medicine or mental health issues, unless it is something I am researching because I have it or my husband or family member has something… Then I understand what the disease is or condition is…
The last 24 months have been a lot of up and downs and death…
Homer’s health has been a ongoing issue since I met him… and like everything, I didn’t worry about it, because we have decent health care… or so I thought…
Then his dad got sick and it was small cell basil lung cancer…
You know when you get those holy shit moments???
I got one at 2am and have been up ever since…
Homer has been getting treated since we moved here for small cell basil carcinoma of the skin and that junk grows super fast and it spreads real easy and he has nodules in his lungs and yea, you can hear the panic in the writing!!! Holy shit!!!
Having a clear and functioning brain, is like having a computer that doesn’t need fragmenting…
My brain will always be defragmenting, because it will always be healing from all the brain trauma I suffered… and it kills me, that sometimes it takes me a while to put all the dot’s together and go, aha…
Like with Homer…
His father was part of a trial and he lived 10 years after his stage 4 cancer diagnosis… that was 2014 when he passed…
So now, when I look at Homer, I am watching more closely with skin lesions…
I bought a couple of long sleeve UV shirts he wears outside, but it is his face the cancer keeps growing on… and that is scary…
As for the truck, got to give it to the dealership… They were straight with me and told me the priority of things needed done, once they understood Homer’s condition and I had no clue, these people went above and beyond and they got my business…
1 repair done, new sensor for the DEF thing is in and the leak on the exhaust thing, it gets fixed in a week after part comes in… The rest of the stuff is required maintenance because the diesel engine is so fancy and involved…
It’s not like spark plugs and filters, it’s, serpitine belt and oil that cost a few hundred bucks and the list is long, but it’s required after 100,000 miles…
I just didn’t know about it, I do now… and they told me it won’t need done again while I have the truck… because I am not hauling anything or driving any distance… so trade in down the road for sure, but not till interest rates are decent and I can’t get Homer in the truck… At least I have a place I can trust with this fancy thing…
Nothng else happening in my world… No stress, no drama, no writing, because I got no worries or anything else and as for memories…
We are reaching the end of that road…
I remember…
