Tough Choices….

How is your decision making??? Are you willing to jump in without much thought and go with the flow or are you one of those that looks at it thoroughly, compiles all your information and makes a decision???

With Homer’s dementia, I am the one making the choices and and that covers just about everything, including his health care…

This fancy 3500 Ram truck we bought 2 years ago, has every bell and whistle you can imagine and I am reasonably sure, this DEF thing this morning is covered by the warranty we bought, because this isn’t a run of the mill warranty… It was highly recommended, because of the bells and whisltles this thing has…

Homer doesn’t remember taking it in after our move for the same thing and they told him we could disable the DEF system because we are over a 100,000 miles on the engine and Homer chose not too, because he believes it helps our air, I will find that out this morning at the dealership…

With the dementia advancing, in ways that are different from what we have lived for the last 32 years, tells me, we kept it at bay a lot longer than we realize…

His brain shows all the hallmarks of Lewy Body and because of the things we are seeing, I can’t disagree… How this will go, is all on Homer and his brain…

Because of that and the fact that I will not tow the 5th wheel..

If given the opportunity to trade this fancy truck in for a suv or something more manageable for me, I will do it…

I hate giving up this kind of luxury that I have never felt or owned in my life, but we got a couple years of it and it was fun and I do enjoy it, but I have to face reality…

At some point, I won’t be able to get Homer in this truck, it sits up so high and that’s not that far off, with the way things are going…

I will look at vehicles while they service the truck, they are giving us an appraisal, because they want to buy it, so we will see…

But this area, how much need do they have for 4 wheel drive and all weather??? We bought this in Idaho… Snow country…

Other than that on my plate this morning, it’s hot and muggy and I am sleeping decent and not remembering what I dreamed and for me, that is huge…

Family, well, they made their choices and they will have to live with them…

Like I told Homer, we have the life we have, because we didn’t lie, steal, cheat or rape anyone to get here and to me, that is more than any god or mans made up bullshit ever did…

Have a wonderful day, my morning is trying to get the base of that slip hitch in the back of the truck before we go to the dealership… Homer said nope, got picture’s, it is super heavy…

I remember…

  1. Are you leaning toward an SUV?? They’re lower to the ground, and they come with all the bells and whistles.

About Me

I am Maggi, given that name on Okinawa during the Vietnam war by a group of Marines in transit at Naha AFB… At 17 years old I didn’t know I was missing memory… I had lost the first 17 years of life and was about to embark on a journey of intrigue, murder, rape, military coverup and live a life, most only dream about… Will I ever remember my youth or will I always walk in shadow not knowing who I was…

This is my story of survival…
