A person on blue sky posted about the Tate murders and I have a memory connected to that…

Time line is not a 100% and I don’t have the divorce papers anymore, so I don’t know the date or year we married, this would have been my 1st marriage out of 6…

We were at Mather AFB and I was pregnant and lived off base and was working at the NCO club on base and my pregnancy didn’t go well and I was forced to quit work and go on welfare, circa 1974…

I met my 1st husband at the NCO club, his dad was a veteran like my dad and they were catholic and we hit it off and after the birth of my kid, we got married… and I think that was 1975…

We lived in Sacramento because that’s were Mather AFB was…

We went to the courthouse and it was all roped off or blocked off because of the Manson trials and we had to park a block away…

So we are walking up to the courthouse to get our license and all hell breaks loose…

Now I don’t remember which one of the Manson group did this, but one of them tried escaping and you would have thought world war was going on the way the cops reacted…

Eventually we did get inside to get our license… But how do you forget such an event of someone that became so famous…???
