I am not the Keeper of the Flame…

Our light goes out readily enough without the help of war, crimes or medical negligence… But to have your light vanquished by a parent, can lead to a life of insurmountable baggage???

Freda & Larry my older half brother…

Mine was memory… Not remembering, not being able to join conversations about my childhood or youth.. Because I have no memory…

They tried so hard to vanquish my flame, to control the narrative to be the one, the it, the boss, the controller, because they were controlled by her…

I long for this journey to end so that I may close the book on this 72 years of domestic violence…

It doesn’t have to be physical or psychological or monetary… It can be abandonment of the fundamental’s of humanity, it can be the desire to be what they can never be…

Me…

My siblings behavior is indicative of mental abuse by her and they will have to live with the choices they made and the ones they ran away from making and left me, standing alone…

Larry’s death is on them… My only true brother became a casualty of her manipulations, dying by suicide, refusing cancer treatment.., It took him 7 years to die alone, unattended, 2 years ago in a few weeks…

She died not knowing the tragedy she created with a lie when he was 10…

I am not the keeper of her flame…

I am the one who extinguishes it…

I remember…

About Me

I am Maggi, given that name on Okinawa during the Vietnam war by a group of Marines in transit at Naha AFB… At 17 years old I didn’t know I was missing memory… I had lost the first 17 years of life and was about to embark on a journey of intrigue, murder, rape, military coverup and live a life, most only dream about… Will I ever remember my youth or will I always walk in shadow not knowing who I was…

This is my story of survival…
