#60 Quickie Flash Back…

Ewoki and Muddi

By quickie, I mean it’s a short story, that happened when we left that little Arkansas town in 2008 and we unloaded all the new furniture we bought for that little house we owned and my hairdresser, who happened to be a friend with my youngest sister… is part of this quick story… That’s a little back fill for you…

Back in 2006, when Homer’s dad was fighting stage 4 lung cancer… We went out and bought a used 5th wheel and truck so that we could travel between Arkansas and Washington state, without using hotels or staying with anyone and plus, we like our privacy and we had 2 dogs at that time, Ewoki and Muddi…

By 2008, I had my stomach full of that town, we rented the house out and we sold off all the furniture we had bought and my hairdresser knew the stuff was very new and good quality and when I told her what I was asking for the bedroom furniture, she jumped on it… and this is the story, that Homer loves to tell, because he was so amused by the guy, who had the same name as him…

The young man, same age as my younger siblings came over to look at the set and offered us the money we asked and his wife called him from the salon to tell him something…

Maggi is so and so sister!!!

The guy dropped the phone, turned pale, looked at me and said no way in hell and we all lost it, including his wife on the phone and I had to reassure him, yep, I was the oldest of Don’s kids, but because I never lived there till a couple years before Don died in 2006, no one had a clue who I was and I kept it that way…

So he’s loading all this furniture with Homer and he keeps asking Homer are you sure she’s related????

To this day, he thinks I’m not, I imagine his wife has heard the gossip by now that the sister was only half, she wasn’t my dad’s…

Yea you want to know what people think of your family that moved there in 1978 and you move there in 2003???

Do like I did, don’t tell anyone who you are related too!!!

Now the story with the Mayor and Chief of Police, that’s one of Homer’s favorites and to this day… We laugh about the Chief showing up at the house with the Mayor’s copy of my complaint against one of his officers…

Have a awesome afternoon…

I remember…

About Me

I am Maggi, given that name on Okinawa during the Vietnam war by a group of Marines in transit at Naha AFB… At 17 years old I didn’t know I was missing memory… I had lost the first 17 years of life and was about to embark on a journey of intrigue, murder, rape, military coverup and live a life, most only dream about… Will I ever remember my youth or will I always walk in shadow not knowing who I was…

Start at #1 to follow my story, being told in chronological order…
