On the big island, the PT kids taught me a few things… After the MRI’s showed the brain damage… I got sent to PT to help with some of the physical issues and one was, stroke, which no one can say when, but it hadn’t been to long before they saw me, so within a few years…

One of the things I told the therapist was that if I scratched the area along my lower back above the butt cheeks, the sensation was over the moon and I could scratch myself raw if I didn’t pay attention to the pain I was causing myself and that’s when they figured out I had a central spinal cord injury as a toddler, and that would be the hairbrush blog I wrote early on…

They went on to explain to me and neurology was also involved, that a lot of the tingling, burning, good feeling in the nether regions type thing…

All from the injuries I sustained before I made it to 15… We know of the beating at 14, early blog…

As I am working in the kitchen, making home made bread and puttering around, I remind myself, stand up straight, shoulders back, pelvis lined up and hips proper and the numbness and the weakness and the sensual feelings hit all at once, trying to take me to my knees, because I know longer can feel my legs and I adjust my posture to take pressure off the damaged area…

This all triggered a memory, a short flash back to the TV interview beating, where I got so many fractures and internal injuries and head trauma…

For me to flash on a memory that is 66 years old, a memory I haven’t seen since the stroke at 14!!!!????

It’s huge!!! But, will it happen again…???

I was 14 when the stroke took my memories… I’ll be 72 in about 7 weeks… I sure would like a birthday present from the past….
