Neuroplasticity…??

Understanding Long-Term Recovery

  • Neuroplasticity: The brain can find new pathways and restore function decades after an injury like a hemorrhage.
  • Delayed Symptoms: Cognitive fatigue or “fog” can persist when neurovascular coupling or autonomic systems struggle to compensate over time.
  • Contributing Factors: Shifts in overall health, lifestyle, or aging can sometimes change how the brain manages old trauma. [1, 2, 3, 4]
From my head to my feet, I am covered in bruises and live with compartment syndrome in all 4 limbs…

What if the brain fog started before I even made it to 6 years old??? What if those bruises on my forehead are indicative of head trauma??? What if I have been off on the time line of brain trauma by years..????

Watching Homer go through this phase of dementia, reminds me of all the weird things I did and not just since he and I married 32 years ago, I am talking things I know I did in behavior and those behaviors have melted away???!!!

I have tried now since the memory trigger in 2017, to pin down why I had brain fog and when did it start and when did it get so bad and when did it impact my life and my ability to focus and concentrate and learn???

Yea, sorry Doc on big Island, but yea, I do have photographic memory and it isn’t like anything in the text books… and I know that for a fact, because, I am living it…

So this is what I think has gone on and the above blurp about neuroplasticity is what I will be researching today and do some indepth understanding, but before I go text book… this is what I lived since the TV beating…

Fog, lack of focus, dizzy and puke, oh my goodness, put me in a vehicle after that TV beating and I would hurl and one time, it was sweet justice, but boy did it stink and to this day, I will avoid the hurling into the throne, if I can avoid it…

By the time we left Kansas, I had suffered a head truama given to my by Freda slapping my head around and giving me whip lash on top of that… You can see in the picture, body parts bruised horribly and parts are disfigured… but her god forgave her… I never did…

So from around 6 years old till this year… I walked with a brain fog as my brain healed it’s self from over 20 concusions, moderate TBI and 2 brain bleeds…

Lets put it this way…

I REMEMBER!!!!!!!

Thats what has been busting my nights with so little sleep… The brain fog that walked with me for over 65 years is gone… (unless I smoke a bowl of medical pot, then it’s relax mode in the brain)… No fog…

All those surgeries the Air Force did and all the stuff the Veterans administration did and all those procedures I had done on my dime… Only the last 3, did I come out with out being in a heavy daze… (Cataract surgery and rectocell done between 2017 and 2019)… Not one issue after those procedures because I told them I was a light weight with anesthesia and they listened… I figured it out… Not the college educated, I figured it out and I did inform them in the past how things went after surgery and no one listened… These last 3, I was incharge… Not the VA…

Now does this mean I will remember anymore than what I already know???

I won’t say never… Our brains are the best computers and going through what I have lived since the spinal cord injury at 1 year old…

I may remember every sick and disgusting thing they all did… Regardless what the brain puts before me in memories… I now know… It was a combination of brain trauma, complicated by too much anesthesia and the Air Force and VA owe me upwards of about half a million, because they did everything they could to shut me up… They denied me care!!!

I remember…

● About Me

I am Maggi, given that name on Okinawa during the Vietnam war by a group of Marines in transit at Naha AFB… At 17 years old I didn’t know I was missing memory… I had lost the first 17 years of life and was about to embark on a journey of intrigue, murder, rape, military coverup and live a life, most only dream about… Will I ever remember my youth or will I always walk in shadow not knowing who I was…

This is my story of survival…
