Drifting into 58 years of Amnesia and Counting…

Injuries are still visible…

The most fun part of what I am experiencing, the memories…

The memories that have come back in full technicolor and play like they should, in other words, no deviation from the memory and no editing of the memory…

The memory is solid and not fake…

Like the memory of Don getting hit in the head at the softball game he was umpiring and he pooped his pants, because that blow to his head, knocked him out…

That moment in time, I was 8 years old, we were at Gunter AFB and he hadn’t gone to the Bay of Pigs yet and I hadn’t died the first time…

It was within months of that blow to Don’s head the sundowners was in full bloom and I tried to remember if my older half brother was living with us and the best I can tell by my memories, he visited us during the summer and lived with his dad the rest of the time and that is a very important memory, that is starting to have more form as the memories of my childhood open up…

Larry may have been with us on that road trip but I can’t be 100% sure, yet…

When Don started driving in the middle of the night, it was after that blow to his head and he should have been medically retired from the Air Force and been a disabled veteran from the beginning, so by covering up the domestic violence, he lived in fear that I would talk… My memory ability got me the tattle tale label very early in life…

He gave up a lot of money and benefits that would have made his retirement that much easier and less percarious because of money…

He set out to deceive and in the end, Don Bagwell shorted himself, because of that brain injury, he received, while on active duty and he should have been considered disabled while on active duty due to the blow to his head altering his personality and starting the road into dementia in his 30’s…

Same thing happened to Homer, but he was 18 and broke his neck in a auto accident and that started his journey into dementia long before I met him…

When you live it, watch it develop and see it grow…

You really want to kick some neurology doctors in the ass, because I have lived it since I was 8 years old… (I really would have made a brilliant doctor in neurology)!!!

It is ironic, the night I got hit in the head at 8 years old by same soft ball, didn’t change my life…

I have migraines in that area of my brain and have had since that soft ball hitting me and then I watched how that same ball, destroyed my father and the Air Force’s ignorance put every person living in that household at risk…

I know, I died twice after that icident…

How do I write the book with so much history???

I write several stories???

You got me… Right now, it’s just put down the memories as they come back and compare how it all went down and how I fought my way back…

I am still missing key memories and those memories all, were about Freda and her violence…

I knew when the stroke hit at 14, I would lose key memories, how I knew??? Only my brain can answer that and I am over IQ tests and neuro tests…

They don’t have the answers, because, they aren’t as smart as the brain that saved my life and even I don’t get it!!!

So imagine my frustration!!! But it sure is fun living it!!!!

I remember…

About Me

I am Maggi, given that name on Okinawa during the Vietnam war by a group of Marines in transit at Naha AFB… At 17 years old I didn’t know I was missing memory… I had lost the first 17 years of life and was about to embark on a journey of intrigue, murder, rape, military coverup and live a life, most only dream about… Will I ever remember my youth or will I always walk in shadow not knowing who I was…

This is my story of survival…
