After the drama and I dismissed it, after the hearing, did my venting, like anyone should who works on their mental health and moved on… Judge decided last week, and I forgot and looked yesterday… He’s done…
As for the softball, well that migraine that woke me at 1AM and proceeded to make the night a very long one and was pounding by 2AM… I gave up and got out of bed…
It’s always the left side of the temporal lobe and it’s always in the spot where the softball nailed me at Gunter AFB, Montgomery, Alabama, where the 1st near death happened…
So my age was between 8 and 12… Before Don went to Vietnam, but had been at the Bay of Pigs… Supposedly…
Don worked as a umpire after his day duty and many times I went to the game with him… I know I enjoyed playing, because I had a baseball glove that was well worn…
I would spend my time watching the game if it was good or out with the other kids, catching horn toads, lizards, what ever was out and about…
That one time I sat behind the catcher is the night the soft ball hit my head…
I don’t remember having a headache other than sore from being nailed by it… but the headaches started soon after and I have had them ever since, thus why only 5 hours sleep last night… It decided I needed reminding on how I got that concussion…
It will be a very long day, but we always have things to keep us busy, but when that triple digit hits, I am inside…
So it stands to reason, if the ball that struck Don that night, and knocked him out, that was the start of his dementia and the sundowners… I remember, he wasn’t like a crazy man, till after that…
I remember…
