Hold your horses… the end has started…?

Listening to geek stuff in the background an my brain goes, wait a second… this is the end, the final battle, the charge of the light brigade of Margie???

I started fighting the VA 1 year after discharge… 1984… by 2004, I was awarded 100% service connected permanent status… and since 2004, I have spent well over $15,000 on my own health care… an most of that under Trump… so whooppee on my 100%, it don’t mean crap, when you got to fight for every aspirin… told hubby, shoot me first, before putting me in a VA home… I would rather die on my terms and not be murdered again….

The dental is the last battle… I got the rectocell procedure after 10 years of bull shit hoops by ignorant VA doctors…. and now the dental after fighting for 11 years… an you guys really care about us veterans, huh???

Not by my eyesight… or the ones on the street or the ones on skid row… or the ones in uniform right now…

So it’s over… all the fighting is done… Once the maxillary is done, at my age, It should last the rest of my life and I’m just looking at regular dental checkups, unless a tooth gets broke… I’m not a cruncher, so, likely not happening… ya know ice chewer… like nails on a chalk board type thing…

My health care, since the last 2 years, has been all medicare… did my cataract surgeries using that and paid for everything else that I had to pay for and after about $10,000 that should slow down also… since I got my medical questions and neurological questions answered…

Getting the teeth done, will conclude my VA health care and I will be using civilian from here on out… hubby has to have a dentist, so, I’ll just pay for my checkups and if something happens to the implants, I’ll visit the VA on sick call, so that is done on their dime… know the system, use the system an when we move I intend too…

It will be more costly on the mainland for my medical, they can get away with higher prices, here, people just can’t afford it, which made it possible for me to afford it, even though it was a few thousand…

Yep, the medical side and dental side are closing the books on that part of my journey…

It will be all about maintenance, like the Borg and 7 of 9 did… now that I could handle… she was one sexy borg…

Anyhow… The only thing I give up by dropping the VA, the Spiriva inhaler… can’t afford $450 a month… but it was my request and not real need as I cringe at those words… I’ve had COPD for over 20 years… so, no pot and keep up the breathing exercises an do my cardio, I should be okay… my other meds, I can afford at Walmart… so yea, this dental is my last VA nightmare, for my lifetime… an for that I am jumping for joy, internally…

Have a good one, got a feeling I’m going to sleep like a baby….

Adorable Spite, I remember Margie….
